OUR STORY

Founded in 2005 in Chattahoochee Hills, The Fulton Institute began with a bold vision: to build artistically vibrant, environmentally sustainable, and deeply connected communities. We started as a local response to a rapidly growing metropolitan region, one where families were seeking meaningful connection and creative expression.
Through dynamic artistic experiences and innovative youth programs, the Institute quickly grew beyond South Fulton County, reaching communities across the Southeast. What began as a small gathering of community members has evolved into a lasting movement, a cultural catalyst that brings people together through the power of the arts.

At The Fulton Institute, we bring our mission to life by offering meaningful, accessible programming and cultivating partnerships that bridge artists, educators, institutions, and communities. Together, we create cultural experiences that respond to the needs and aspirations of the people we serve.
We believe art is a tool for connection, empowerment, and change. That’s why we continue to collaborate with a diverse range of partners, from emerging artists to established organizations, to develop programming that inspires, educates, and strengthens communities.

In 2025, as we celebrate twenty years of service and continued growth, we reintroduced ourselves as The Fulton Institute, a name that reflects both our roots and our expanding reach. Today, our partnerships extend across the Southeast and beyond, connecting people through values-based creation and collaboration.

MISSION

We empower underserved communities through access to transformative arts experiences, multidisciplinary education, and cultural advocacy. By elevating traditionally overlooked voices, breaking down financial and social barriers, and championing environmental and social justice, we foster creativity, connection, and lasting impact.

VISION

We envision a future where the arts are radically inclusive, community-centered, and accessible to all. As a nationally recognized force, we aim to dismantle elitism in the arts, challenge traditional gatekeeping, and create sustainable pathways to funding, visibility, and empowerment for diverse artists and communities throughout the Southeast and beyond.
